As a Principal Security Engineer, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table in enterprise environments, specializing in real-world threat detection and monitoring. With a strong emphasis on enterprise security, my background is extensive, covering areas such as network user behavior analysis (UEBA), log security monitoring, and security architecture. A Senior Security Engineer responsible for application and infrastructure security monitoring, centering on standard enterprise logging and customized CEF logging. Lone ArcSight Engineer responsible for all aspects of logging. Wrote developer guidelines for implementing CEF into their applications. Standardized and documented security monitoring with respect to incident response. Re-architected entire ArcSight and Syslog infrastructure to meet current and future logging loads.

BAE Systems - Lead Security Engineer

Lead a team of ArcSight engineers integrating the business needs with the technical aspects needed for a 24x7 global Security Operations Center. Developed APT related actionable alerts from multiple log sources and indicators of compromise. Deployed multiple custom Common Event Format or CEF ArcSight connectors using Perl for custom log types. Used CEF for custom rules and alerting for various company requirements. Oversaw a large global ArcSight deployment for a centralized SOC environment.
